台湾小吃 (Taiwanese Snacks)

In Taiwan, there are a lot of delicious things to eat. For example, bubble tea is a famous type of drink in Taiwan. Beef noodles, fried chicken, oyster omelet, pineapple cakes and stinky tofu are also considered some of the snacks they sell in Taiwan. What I like best about Taiwan is the fact that there are many night market street foods. The night market street foods are considered as 夜宵( a night time snack). Night market street foods are sold all over Taiwan and they are usually lined up next to each other. Many of the night markets have lights so it looks beautiful and appealing to the customers at night.

There are also many fruits that we don’t usually see from Taiwan. There are Java apples (莲雾) and sugar apples (释迦). However, there are some fruits that we are familiar with. This includes pineapples and mangoes. In Taiwan, there are many famous snacks made from fruits. My favorite ones are the pineapple cakes and mango flavored shaved ice.

Next time you go back to China, make sure you make a visit at Taiwan because you will not regret it!

I think this article was really interesting because I didn’t know a lot about Taiwanese snacks. I recently learned about Chinese snacks and what is popular in China, but this article helped me learn about Taiwanese snacks. I think a lot of people would assume Chinese and Taiwanese snacks are the same, but they aren’t. Some snacks that I hadn’t heard of before are the mango shaved ice, sugar apples, and pineapple cakes. I also think the night markets are cool.

I really enjoyed reading this article. I have never been to Taiwan, so this really interested me. I would’ve never thought that some of the foods such as beef noodles and fried chicken would actually be snacks. I thought they would be more of a meal. I also learned that many famous snacks in Taiwan are made from fruit.

There you can find fresh fruit, baked goods, beef noodles, etc. You tell all about the appeal of these markets and their snacks! I would love to travel to Taiwan to try these amazing snacks! My father has been to Taiwan many times, and he always talks about the delicious food there! Hopefully, I will have the chance to travel to these night markets sometime in the future.

I’ve never been to Taiwan, but the snacks listed above sure are compelling! The concept of night street markets seems super cool, and I’m sure that with the lighting they look lovely for customers at night! I’ve never heard of certain Taiwanese fruits such as sugar apples and java apples, but they are probably delicious! I bet I would love pineapple cakes and mango flavored shaved ice as well! The pictures were great and really supported and enhanced the article. I hope to one day travel to Taiwan to see the night street markets and have some Taiwanese snacks! Great article! Really enjoyed it!

These Taiwanese snacks sound delicious! I’ve never visited Taiwan, but if I do, I will be sure to try out some of these goods! The mango shaved ice sounds especially tasty. I’m not a big fan of pineapple, but the pineapple cake looks so appetizing! The night markets on the streets sound really beautiful and fun. It’s so nice that there are places to grab a late-night snack! Very nice job on the article, Sabrina!

Great job on the article, Sabrina! I loved all the pictures you included; all the foods look so delicious! I’m familiar with a lot of Chinese snacks, but I never tried any Taiwanese snacks (besides pineapple cake.) I would love to try to mango shaved ice – the perfect treat on a hot summers day! The variation between regional cuisines in China always surprises me! If I ever go to Taiwan, going to a night market would be one of my top travel destinations. Keep up the great work, your articles have always been so interesting and informative.

I love your article Sabrina!! During summers, I drink bubble tea almost everyday. It is one of my favorite Chinese snacks. Whenever I go to the Chinese supermarkets, there are many snacks surrounding me. I never have the time to look around and see them, but I know that there are many that are tasty. You mentioned Java apples and sugar apples in your article; I would really like to try those. they sound very interesting.

I love bubble tea! Almost every time that I’m in Flushing, I drink it. I enjoy eating beef noodles, pineapple cakes, and stinky tofu. I went to night markets during the summers I spent in Taiwan when I was younger. Also, the Java apples seem interesting.

This was an amazing article! I drink bubble tea at least once a week and it’s always been my favorite drink. I’ve heard about the night market street food in Taiwan and everyone that’s been there says that the atmosphere is incredible. The Java apples and sugar apples really attracted my attention. I hope to go there one day and experience it myself!
