Hi everyone! I’m sure many of you have experienced owning a pet, and having the honor to name him/her! In this series, we will be focusing on Chinese pet names that will hopefully inspire you to give your pet a Chinese nickname!
In this post, we will be focusing on m dogs! Common names for dogs include Lucky and Fluffy, but there are dogs with some pretty unique names. Here are some common and unique Chinese names for pet dogs that I think would be really cute!
来福 （lái fú）– good fortune
啊财（a cái）– wealth
风水（fēng shuǐ）– Feng Shui
宝贝（bǎo bèi）– precious, treasure, baby
水饺（shuǐ jiǎo）– dumpling
乖乖（guāi guāi）– cute and obedient
甜甜（tián tián）– sweet
Notice how some of these names consist of two of the same characters! Repeating characters in Chinese often makes a name sound more affectionate.
