Chinese Teas (中国茶)

One of the many things that China is famous for is tea. This famous drink has been an integral part of Chinese culture for thousands of years. There are believed to be many health benefits of drinking different teas, from weight loss to stress relief.  Here are some very famous Chinese teas and their believed health benefits:

 

1.) Black Tea:

-Reduces cholesterol

-Promotes strong bones

-Reduces stress and fatigue levels

 

2.) Green Tea:

-Regulates high blood pressure

-Drink has antiviral properties

-Kills bacteria in the mouth and intestines

 

3.) White Tea:

-Good source of vitamin A

-Controls insulin levels

 

4.) Oolong Tea:

-Regulate body temperature

-Relaxes the muscles

-Speeds up metabolism

-High levels of vitamin C

 

5.) Pu-Erh Tea:

-Aids in digestion

-High levels of vitamin C

 

6.) Jasmine Tea:

-Promotes cardiovascular health

-Stress reliever

-Helps increase metabolism

-Strengthens immune system

 

Another benefit of almost all Chinese teas is caffeine, a drug that is a central nervous system stimulant. Caffeine is known to improve mental function and decrease fatigue. But as always, you should consume caffeine in moderation!
