  2. The largest manufacturers of fortune cookies are in the U.S. Wonton Food Inc., headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, makes over 4.5 million fortune cookies per day!

  3. The Vice President of Wonton Food, Donald Lau, has written a large majority of the fortunes in these cookies that you see today. Most of them are positive, but from time to time, an usual negative fortune will pop up.

  4. Fortune cookies are mostly served in America, but also have been served in Chinese restaurants in Brazil, Canada, France, India, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom, as well as other countries. However, China does not specialize in fortune cookie manufacturing or distribution.

  5. Ever wonder how fortune cookies are made? They start out round and are folded around the fortune, usually by a machine. There are also only four ingredients used in its preparation: flour, sugar, vanilla, and sesame seed oil.
