When I was little, my parents took me to Hong Kong every summer to see my family. One of the fondest memories I have is watching Chinese cartoons in my free time while staying at my Grandma’s place. One of my favorite shows to watch was 喜羊羊与灰太狼 (Xǐ Yáng Yáng Yǔ Huī Tài Láng), or “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf.” I loved the cute animations, even if I didn’t understand what the show was talking about at first. After watching a couple of episodes, I learned more Chinese words and was laughing along to their silly adventures.
喜羊羊与灰太狼 (Xǐ Yáng Yáng Yǔ Huī Tài Láng) is a Chinese animation. The main storyline of the anime is the fight between a goat and a wolf. The plot satirizes social malpractice with a light and humorous style and designs many funny sci-fi inventions. In the anime, “Pleasant” (喜羊羊–Xǐyángyáng) and his friends are portrayed as playful elementary school students. “Beauty” (美羊羊–Měi yáng yáng) is a pretty girl goat who is always worrying about her looks. “Grey wolf” (灰太狼–Huītàiláng) and his wife “Red wolf” (红太狼–Hóng tài láng) moved to Qingqing grassland. “Grey wolf” uses different sneaky ways to catch goats. In every episode, he tries to catch the goats in new inventive ways. When he failed, his catchphrase was “I’ll be back!”
喜羊羊与灰太狼 (Xǐ Yáng Yáng Yǔ Huī Tài Láng) is a childhood favorite for many in China. The show first aired in 2005 and has 34 seasons containing 2,573 episodes to date. The show signed a contract with Disney in 2010 to allow it to be aired in 52 countries around the world in 10 different languages. It truly has grown from just a Chinese student’s childhood show, as it can be found in so many places around the world now.

I had not heard of this show before but it was fun to learn about it. I did not grow up in Hong Kong so I liked learning about this small part of the culture. I do think I have seen this character before though.

这篇文章非常的不错。这个少儿电视剧是我的童年，小时候非常的喜欢看，而且还有关于生肖的电影，非常的好笑。长大后发现自己明白了一些道理。比如说这个电视剧里的羊最胖的其实是暖羊羊，第二胖的才是懒羊羊，但是灰太狼说要抓最胖的羊，但是每次第一个要抓的是懒羊羊。我之前有在网上看过关于这个问题的结论，网友认为因为暖羊羊是女性，所以不吃她。所以连灰太狼都懂得什么叫尊敬女性，than why is there still people on earth who treat woman with disrespect and horrible attitude。
