In a hurry and need a quick bite? Many of us will turn to fast food chains, such as McDonald’s or Wendy’s. However, did the know that the “fanciest” McDonald’s in the world is found in Hong Kong?
In December 2017, McDonald’s transformed one of its previous Hong Kong locations into the world’s first McDonald’s Next, a new branch that is trying to elevate the status of fast food. Located near Admiralty Station, the restaurant is a quick walk away from incoming commuters.
The Hong Kong McDonald’s Next features an open kitchen, tableside service, and sells high-end goods such as truffle oil and macarons. You can order and individualize your meal through a high-tech touchscreen menu. While you wait, use the wireless phone-charing platform and high-speed internet provided at your table.
From sweet-corn pie to spicy Thai chicken wings, you can order a variety of different, unique meals at inexpensive prices!

What a fascinating article! I’ve been to Hong Kong a few times, and it’s one of my favorite cities, but I’ve never seen this before. I will definitely be on the lookout next time!
