蛋挞- Amy Sheen

Egg tart, or 蛋挞, is one of my favorite Chinese desserts. These delectable treats from Hong Kong use egg custard to create a sweet but savory flavor. I definitely recommend everyone try it!

Wow! Beautiful artwork, Amy! I love the simplicity of the piece and the tectural designs incorporated. I have never had an egg tart before, but I would love to try them! From what I’ve heard they are very sweet and delicious. I can’t wait to try them soon! Thank you for sharing! I can’t wait to see more of your work!

I love 蛋挞! Growing up, my family and I would always go eat dim sum on Saturdays and order our favorite dessert- 蛋挞. This definitely brings up good memories spending my Saturdays with my family, I loved how realistic your picture was and I love the highlighting/colors you used. Thanks for sharing your art- it’s amazing!

This is a great piece of art, as it shows an aspect of Chinese cuisine that I especially like to eat. It is very interesting to see how such designs and uniform color can be incorporated in order to produce such a visually appealing piece. I personally think that egg tarts are too sweet, but they still remain to be one of my favorite Chinese snacks. All in all, this is a very interesting article, and I like how you are adding more artwork to the Daily China. I also like how you have included the Chinese characters of the egg tart. I can wait to eat this delicious snack soon.

Wow, this artwork is so pretty! It looks really delicious. As a child, I grew up eating egg tart and it soon became one of my favorite snacks from the bakery. Personally, I feel like the crust is a little too flaky, but I feel like the egg part is just right. After eating it so much I grew to not like it as much, but I don’t hate it. Thanks for showcasing your artwork!

Your illustration is the very best! I have tried this type of dessert in restaurants before. The egg tart filling definitely goes with the taste of the flaky crust. Chefs may also top the tarts with either fruit or chocolate to serve at parties. It’s very interesting to share all of these delectable articles!

Wow! I had no idea that this image was hand-drawn until I looked at some other comments! I probably would have liked it better if added or copy and pasted some history of the food under the image. But that is beside the point and your drawing is still amazing! My family also eats these pretty often when we go to a Chinese restaurant. One part I especially like is the shiny reflective surface at the edges of the middle egg custard. Keep on drawing and keep up the great work!

Wow! Nice job on the image Amy!! I tried a lot of these in many Chinese restaurants before and looking at this makes me hungry. The egg custard goes along with the breading really well. Really nice drawing Amy. I hope you continue to draw like this.

The first time I had Egg Tart was in Chinese class. After I had it in Chinese class, I fell in love with Egg tarts. Egg tarts just have this taste to them that make them satisfying to eat. When I first saw this picture, I thought that it was a picture instead of a drawing. Nice drawing skills Amy!

I used to have Egg tarts all the time! Whenever my mom would go to the bakery these were always something we would buy. Personally I enjoy the insides more than the crust. This drawing is super realistic though! Keep up the drawing!

I love egg tarts as well! I have been eating them since I was young. I think I started eating them in the 1st grade in Queens and get one every so often. I started to eat it less but I still love the taste of them. When I saw the photo I remembered the crust and the smell of them immediately! Great Article!

This is a very good drawing Stephanie! I eat egg tarts all the time. I like going to Chinese bakeries and my grandparents give them to me every time they visit. I really like the taste and the sweetness. However, I enjoy the smooth texture the most. This drawing reminds me of the crumbly crust and the smell. 10/10 would recommend.
