三杯鸡, “three cups chicken,” is a Taiwanese that, like most Taiwanese dishes, has roots in China. The tender, pungent chicken has its roots in the Song Dynasty, when a hero, Wen Tianxiang, had pieces of chicken braised in oil, rice wine, and soy sauce for his last supper. It is easy to make, delicious, and I hope you like it!
