We all love our pets: whether they are dogs, cats, rabbits, tarantulas, or snakes, everyone loves them! Here is a list of how to say some popular pets in Chinese:
Dog-狗(gǒu)
Cat-猫 (māo)
Goldfish-金鱼(jīnyú)
Snake-蛇 (shé)
Hamster-仓鼠(cāngshǔ)
Parrot-鹦鹉 (yīngwǔ)
Turtle-乌龟(wūguī)
Rabbit-梯子(tùzi)
Frog-青蛙 (qīngwā)
In China, some common household pets are singing birds, insects, cats, dogs, and goldfish. Similar to America, raising pets in China is a significant part of Chinese culture and life. In traditional Chinese culture, pets were viewed as a luxury and showed who had more money, but today, having pets is as commonplace as it is in the United States.
