I found this video to be very informative and useful. My family and I are planning to go to China for vacation soon and hopefully, these phrases will come in handy there. Although I have been taking Chinese for 4 years so far I still do not know some of these phrases. I was also surprised that although I didn’t learn how to say these exact phrases I could predict some of them through my prior Chinese knowledge. I also really liked the scenes in the background of the words, it kept the video from getting boring.

Wow! Great video! I never knew that 幸会 means nice to meet you. In fact, I didn’t know that there were so many ways to greet people. I have always used the basic “你好!“ This video was helpful in refreshing my memory. 晚安!

This is a great video. It shows people who need to learn common terms so that they could get their way around china. These terms are very useful because in china nobody really knows english that well. this video is great for someone if they are visiting china. If I go to china I will always remember to learn these terms because they are very useful

This video was very entertaining and well edited. I go to China almost every year, so I need to try remembering these phrases. Although, most people in China understand the meaning of “Hello” in English. There are many phrases on this list that are new to me such as xing hui. Great Article.

This video was super short which was nice but also contained a decent amount of information. I thought I knew greeting terms in Chinese pretty well but a few terms such as xing hui or zai hui took me by surprise. It’s always nice to know more than one way of greeting someone. I found this extremely helpful. Hopefully, I will be able to memorize these terms in hopes of visiting China someday.

Great video, Avery and Nick! I love the B-roll that you put over your narration. I didn’t know that xinghui meant nice to meet you, but now I do! Great guide on some basic Chinese phrases you need to know when in China! I think there was room for more practical phrases, like “Where is the bathroom” or “Where is the exit,” but this is still a wonderful guide and great video!

This video was edited so nicely! The scenes from China are so cool; the show at 1:01 seems super interesting! I like how both the Chinese and English versions of each phrase were provided. I also really like the background music! I’d love to visit China now.

This was really informative. As someone who is far from a native speaker, I found this extremely useful, especially since I don’t know the nuances of spoken Chinese that well. I also liked how smooth the video was, as it let me focus more on its contents rather than its imperfections. But even knowing that there is so much that I don’t know, I was still surprised by how many different ways that someone can greet another in Chinese.
