The Man Behind China’s Richest Dog

You may have seen at least one of these images while the media has gone wild over the wealth of this dog, and yes, it did have 8 of the newest iPhones at the time. Coco the dog has a food bowl with his name printed on it with diamonds, her own private jet with a chauffeur, and designer leashes. Is Coco richer than you? If so, you’d be even more surprised by the lifestyle of Coco’s owner.

The man who owns this internet famous dog is Wang Sicong (王思聪 – Wáng Sīcōng), China’s third richest man’s only son. Currently, Wang Sicong’s father, Wang Jinlian (王健林 – Wáng Jiànlín), has a net worth of about $17 billion USD. Such a large capital allowed Wang Sicong to spend vast amounts of money and shock millions on the internet with his extravagant lifestyle. According to a Bloomberg interview in 2016, Wang Sicong has shown no interest in taking over his father’s position and claims to not be interested in inheriting Wang Jinlian’s assets to become a conglomerate business man. However, Wang Sicong’s large capital allows him to do many things the normal person can’t do, such as create Shanghai’s first 7-star hotel using a budget of over $500 million dollars.

Wang Sicong is also the founder of Invictus Gaming, a successful eSports team that participates in League Of Legends and Dota 2 tournaments. In fact, Invictus Gaming was the first Chinese team to win the Worlds League Of Legends title, which it accomplished in 2018. Wang has been known to invest in eSports, streaming, and gaming, which are currently a few of the fastest growing industries.

However, Wang Sicong was banned from his high end lifestyle for a short time period. After being placed on China’s official debtor list, it is estimated that Wang Sicong suffered a loss of 387 million USD due to his debts to others. In addition, Wang Sicong’s streaming company, Panda TV, previously had over 450 million viewers but went into bankruptcy after it couldn’t keep up with the extremely competitive streaming industry.  Details are unknown about how he amounted to needing to pay back such a large sum, but Wang Sicong’s investment company, Prometheus Capital, has left no comment. Wang Sicong paid off his debt shortly after being added to China’s official debtor list which restricted him from living an expensive lifestyle during that period of time.

Despite these financial hits taken by his/her owner, Coco probably still lives a life we can only dream of! Coco has her own Lamborghini and tons of luxury bags. Wang Sicong also claims to only feed Coco expensive delicacies, such as sushi, steak, and mitten crabs. Would you like to live Coco’s life? Let us know in the comments below!

Wow! I can’t believe Wang Sicong spends so much money on Coco, especially on things she doesn’t necessarily need like luxury handbags. It is really evident that Wang Sicong loves Coco and takes great care of her. Like Wang Sicong, I love dogs, and I have a Labrador Retriever, I would love for me and my dog live Coco’s luxury lifestyle.

This is amazing! I never knew there was a dog with their own private jet! I have a big family, and we have one car, and it’s not a Lamborghini! Maybe I should be feeding my dog sushi!

It was pretty cool learning about how a dog was living such an extravagant lifestyle. If I ever get a dog I probably won’t be able to let him live this extravagant lifestyle. I especially couldn’t believe the part where Wang Sicong bought his dog a food bowl with her name in diamonds.

When I saw this article’s title I was intrigued and curious, it’s a pretty unique topic. I think it’s unbelievable, I don’t understand how a dog can have its own Lamborghini, but then coco’s owner IS incredibly rich and overall this dog is very lucky. It was interesting looking into what Wang Sicong is able to do with all his money. I can just imagine being able to spend money leisurely and not having to worry!

Being a dog and living a life like that must be awesome. I can tell that Wang Sicong really cares about Coco because he spends so much money go give Coco the life style that she has now. I wonder how the seven star hotel must be. From the photos in the articles, it seems like a prestigious place to stay in.
